The keys to cooking in stainless steel pans are:

  1. Heat the pan without adding oil.

  2. Check the temperature by sprinkling a few drops of water.

  3. When the splashes turn into drops that look like mercury on the pan, it means the pan is hot enough.

  4. Dry the water droplets with paper towels.

  5. Add oil and distribute it well by moving the pan.

  6. Slightly lower the heat.

  7. Cook the food, adjusting the heat if necessary.

It is not necessary to season stainless steel pans or do any special process before using them. As they come, rinse them with water to remove dust, and you can start using them.

If food sticks to your stainless steel pan, you can add a little water to the pan and scrub with a wooden or silicone spatula to loosen any stuck bits. You can wash the pan by hand or even in the dishwasher since these pans do not rust.
