I've cleaned the iron pan, but food is still sticking to it.Updated 7 months ago
We’re going to give you some tips to cook with your iron pans without food sticking. First, you need to remove any residue that may have been left from previous cooking. Simply cleaning the pan isn’t enough, as there may be barely noticeable remnants that cause food to stick when cooking. To eliminate them, place the clean pan on low heat with a little oil. Let the oil heat very lightly, and when it’s ready, turn off the heat and add a generous handful of salt, or two if necessary. Using a paper towel, scrub the salt all over the surface of the pan. This will remove any leftover residue. Once done, wash it again with water and soap, dry it, and apply a layer of oil before storing it. If there are larger areas with more embedded residue, you should clean them by scrubbing well with an aluminum scrubber (like "nanas") or by heating the pan gently with water and a splash of apple cider vinegar, letting it simmer gently for a few minutes. Allow the pan to cool before cleaning it with water and soap, and if there are still any small remnants, scrub with the nanas. After finishing (whether with the nanas or boiling water), you should season the pan again. We hope these tips are helpful.
